The Vodacom Connected Youth Roadshow that will visit 25 university campuses nationwide during July and August will be launched at a motivational workshop and edutainment event for a select audience of teenagers and young adults at Vodacom World in Midrand on Monday 8 July.
The launch event will feature high profile, aspirational role-models including celebrated author Sibusiso Molimi, Tsongo Sun’s 2018 Entrepreneur of the Year Bulelani Balabala, entrepreneur and founder of Green Scooters Fezile Dhlamini, Radio personality and DJ Ms Cosmo and well-known business-woman and founder of African Star Communications Farah Fortune.
The celebrities will encourage the audience to broaden their horizons and challenge their assumptions by presenting topics that resonate with the youth, such as Work Readiness, Entrepreneurship, the Digital World and other life skills that will equip them for successful careers and fulfilling lifestyles
The highlight of the show is Danny K, the first South African to appear on the Oprah Winfrey Show, who will perform and share personal insights into his remarkable rise to international stardom and inspirational speaking.
The event will be hosted by Dene Botha, the founder and MD of Pride Factor, the life skills academy dedicated to inspiring young minds. Botha will introduce the celebrities and conduct interactive activities encouraging the audience to participate in the memorable occasion.
The launch event kick-starts the Vodacom Connected Youth University Roadshow that will visit 25 campuses countrywide during July and August to celebrate the telecommunication giant’s 25th birthday by inspiring those under-25 in a cool, interactive, impactful and ‘connected’ manner.
The Vodacom Connected Youth Roadshow is produced by Pride Factor in association with Be!Bold, Student Village, Green Scooters, The Creative Council and will be proudly driven by Renault South Africa.
